Geely EX2 is the Wheels Best Compact Car for 2026
SYDNEY, 1 October 2026 – The world’s bestselling small EV1 , the Geely EX2, has just added another title to its resumé – Wheels Best Compact Car 2026-2027.

The ‘Wheels Best’ program saw the Geely EX2 tested against a selection of new and mainstay competitors, with Wheels bestowing the EV hatchback top honours for its “small footprint, big thinking, and impressive combination of space, technology, practicality and value.”
The Geely EX2 has experienced a strong start in the local market, with 1,753 total sales as of August’s end. 1,279 of these units were delivered in August alone, positioning it not only within Australia’s top 25 models, but as Australia’s bestselling passenger model for the month. This achievement bolsters the model’s strong global position as China’s overall bestselling model during 20252.
